:: Welcome to Finders Keepers ::

The Shropshire Education Business Partnership has been Advantage West Midlands' link for Leisure and Tourism in the Region as part of the Skills for Clusters initiative.

The Skills for Clusters initiative has been crucial in providing a link between education and business, and as a result there is a number of Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality based resources to introduce education to the diversity and importance of the Leisure and Tourism industry as a service and a business sector.

In addition there is also support for employers
and the opportunity to make a connection with their future workforce.

www.finders-keepersuk.org.uk is one of the outcomes based on the needs of those from both education and business who attended the Finders Keepers Conference, held on the 2nd March 2004 at Albrighton Hall, Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Advantage West Midlands

Advantage West Midlands is one of nine Regional Development Agencies (RDA's) established by the Government in 1999 to transform England's regions through sustainable economic development.

Within this remit our role in the West Midlands is to help transform the regional economy by connecting need and opportunity to create a better place in which to invest, work, learn, visit and live

Skills for Clusters was a West Midlands Education Business Link Consortia Cluster Initiative and the project has been designed to address the need to increase student participation in courses and work related activities directly responding to the identified needs of the AWM Clusters, working as part of AWM's Agenda for action and becoming an integral part of the AWM Cluster Initiative.

The project has been delivered across the West Midlands region, as a co-ordinated regional programme, providing opportunities for schools and teachers to exchange knowledge, experiences and outcomes, thereby building a coherent approach to the impact of careers choices and skills development across the West Midlands.
